We’re All Horny, There’s Nothing Wrong With It

Politics is a funny thing. Sometimes two politicians battle it out for months and months doing whatever they can to gain an inch on the other. Other times you wake up in the morning to find out your Governor is resigning because he got caught fooling around with prostitutes.

It’s a little mind blowing. Not that I really followed Spitzer, I’m more of a Bloomberg fan myself. But still, what a weird reason for power to change hands. Personally I’m not sure how it relates to his ability to govern. I don’t think it’s grounds for resignation, or rather I don’t think it should be. Considering the way the press in this country goes crazy over this kind of shit, he probably has no choice.

What is it that causes them to freak out? Is it the illegality? Well Bush breaks the law more ofthen than he shits and they do nothing, so it can’t be that. The adultery? Clinton survived that. The immorality? I don’t think prostitution is immoral, or if it is than so are all time/labor for money transactions (and they very well may be immoral, but that’s for another time). Or is it just that they love a sex scandal because it sells papers and gets ratings?

I think we have a winner!

If their job wasn’t for profit, but rather for civic duty, our country would be a lot better. And a man wouldn’t have to resign his job just because he’s especially horny. We’re all horny, there’s nothing wrong with it.
